据知名微软新闻爆料人 @WalingCat 在 Twitter 上爆料，Windows 10 Redstone 5 或作为“2018 年 10 月更新”而发布。对于这种命名方式，大家显然不会感到陌生，毕竟四月发布的 RS4 就被称作“Windows 10 April 2018”（1803）更新。此外数小时前，微软在 Windows Blog 上宣布中止面向 Insider 测试者的“超前”（Skip Ahead）更新通道，因为该公司要把重心放到 RS5 稳定版的除虫工作上。
